NOTICE OF SHOW CAUSE HEARING FOR AN ORDER OF ABATEMENT OF UNSAFE OR DANGEROUS BUILDING.
A show cause hearing before the Hancock City Council will be held on why an Order of Abatement should not be issued to Soren Dresch. The show cause hearing will be held on June 20, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hancock City Hall Council Chambers at 399 Quincy Street, Hancock, MI 49930.
At the hearing the Council may make a determination that the building at 228 Hancock Street, Hancock Michigan shall be demolished or made safe. Upon such a determination an order shall be made, and the owner shall have 21 days within which to commence repairs or demolition. If after 21 days, Councils' order has not been substantially complied with the Council can have the conditions abated. Any amount spent by the City to abate the unsafe condition shall become a lienupon the property.
