    The City office will be closed from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. on November 1st for the City Picnic.

  • Public Notice-All Night Parking Prohibited in Winter-2019/2020

    Ordinance No. 146, Section 8.25a. ALL NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED IN WINTER. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to stop, stand or park a vehicle, or to cause or permit a vehicle to be parked or left unattended between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on any day on any of the streets or highways of the City of Hancock during the period of November 1st through April 30th.
    THIS ORDINANCE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

  • Hancock Christmas Walk

    HANCOCK, MI - The Polar Express Comes to Hancock! The Hancock Business and Professionals Association welcomes everyone to the annual Christmas Walk taking place on Friday, November 29 from 5 to 8pm. This is a long standing tradition of holiday activities for the entire family. The Santa parade starts at 6pm from the Scott Building parking lot and ends at City Hall with the lighting of the tree. Santa will meet kids at City Hall with gifts and candy. Kids activities include cookie decorating as well as card making for those in Military service also at City Hall. Sled dog rides will take place on Quincy Green. Warm up with hot chocolate and fire barrels manned by the Fire Department. Read the story of The Polar Express all throughout town. Visit shops for special promotions and activities. Register to win Hancock Bucks with three drawings taking place in December. Enjoy refreshments, caroling, and festive window displays throughout town. Tell your friends, �Meet me in Hancock� on Friday evening, November 29 to get into the spirit of the holidays. All activities are free and open to the public. This event is made possible by the Hancock Business and Professionals Association with support from the City of Hancock and the Hancock Police and Fire Departments.
