The event is held at the Hancock Driving Park trailhead, with registration at the Hancock Four Seasons Chalet. The Races are non-competitive, all registered skiers receive a medallion for skiing the course. Races are run starting with the older skiers, who take the longest course, in this case, a 6K course, which runs through the Swedetown Gorge. Next up is the 4K event, and the skiers are off.
The signal is given for the start of the 2K event. And finally the smallest tykes get their starting signal, and are off on their 1K ski course. All races have adult forerunners and followers, to make sure no one leaves the course accidently or has any mishaps. Here, one of the 2K skiers reaches the Finish Line. A look at the Medallion that was presented to each of the skiers.
As the skiers reach the Finish Line, each is given his or her Medal. Hot chocolate is available as well as hot coffee for all.
